If you drag an NPK into the Files window of a router you are connected to with Winbox, it should show up as a file in the file list. So was it installed or not? What's my next step? So next I type in the console, /dude set=enabled but it comes back with 'bad command name dude'. So I assume the Dude is in that package and installed? No clue, the installation instructions don't help at all. Hmm maybe it's not showing, so I type 'dude' into the Find field, and it comes up with 'advanced-tools v6.44.2' and it's enabled. How do I do that? It doesn't say, so I go in Winbox to System, Packages, and there's no 'Add' button. Downloaded and ran the installer for the Dude on my Win 10 Pro machine, okay installed fine. Something is amiss with the Dude installation instructions.Īm running WinBox v6.44.2 on RB750. I expect mature software to just work when encountering a new install, and if there's a problem, for the installation software to have specific steps that are clear, and go through each step clearly.
I'm incredibly frustrated as a new user of the Mikrotik world.
